(April 22nd) On the commencing ceremony of Beijing college Olympic key volunteer training class, the eye-catching Olympic key volunteer training program (trial) was announced. Zhu Shanlu, standing committee of Municipal Committee, secretary of educational work committee, team lead of Olympic training work collaboration team expressed good wishes to 1200 key volunteers from the capital universities.
The college volunteer is one of the important parts of Olympic Games-time volunteers. Municipal Committee of Youth League, educational work committee, Olympic training work collaboration team, Olympic volunteer work coordination group, and BOCOG volunteer department etc. have jointly entrusted Capital University Student New Century Yingcai School to conduct the training of 1200 key volunteer from universities in Beijing. These volunteers are selected from over 200,000 applicants, mostly are sophomore and junior. After 180 hours¡¯ lessons in 18 directions of four aspects like knowledge, ability, quality and experience, they will become the key Olympic volunteers, motivating more students to participate in the Olympic volunteer service. ¡¡
Zhu Shanlu has placed great expectation on the students. He said holding a characteristic, high-level Olympic Games is heavily reliant on the volunteers¡¯ hardworking. He hoped the student carry forward the glorious tradition of Yingcai School, take the previous opportunity of Olympic Games to participate in the training and display the view of contemporary capital university student volunteers.
It is reported, among these 1200 students, 200 are engaged in the cheering squad guiding. They have setting about studying the condition of different match and sports sites. By arranging the audience and cheering squad on-the-spot create happy and harmonious match atmosphere, encourage the athlete in courteous manner. They will firstly show on the courts of "good luck Beijing" competition match this year.
